Travel Dates: February 5-10, 2025

Passport Requirements

• You must have a valid passport book to enter and return from Costa Rica
• Your passport must be valid for six months from the date you arrive in Costa Rica.
• Make sure you carry a copy of your passport in the event yours is misplaced.

Airport Procedure

Departure to Costa Rica:
• Check with your airline for international baggage restrictions and weight limitations so you can avoid excess baggage fees.
• Make certain each bag has your prepared luggage tags firmly secured.
• Do not exchange money at the airport, we highly recommend exchanging prior to your trip or once you get to the hotel, as the exchange rates at the airport are more expensive.
• Do not engage in conversations with anyone approaching you to discuss time shares.

Upon Arrival to Costa Rica:
Visitors will be required to present the following documents to the Immigration Officers:
• Immigration Form (to be filled out on the plane)
• Customs Declaration Form
• Valid Passport
• Ticket for return flight (non-residents)
• Demonstration of economic solvency (legally required) - Each visitor may be required to show they possess $US 100 for each 30 days or part of 30 days of their Visa.

Missed Flights/Cancellations:
• We strongly advise you to check-in 24 hours in advance, and to provide your contact information when checking in online. The airlines will inform you of any schedule changes, delays or cancellations.
• At the airport, if your flight has been cancelled or if you miss your flight, proceed to your airline to reschedule. Once accommodations have been made, please contact Tina Haley at the GRA Group, 216-272-4785 or via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. Checked Luggage:
Airlines charge for checked luggage. Baggage fees are your responsibility and can range from $30 to $75 for your first bag within the weight limit of less than 50 lbs. Any bag over 50 lbs is subject to an additional fee of $100 or more. You must limit your luggage to two pieces per person. One additional piece of carry-on luggage is permitted and must fit under the seat of the aircraft. As these regulations are different for each airline, please check with your individual carrier prior to departure for current guidelines.

Lost Luggage:
• You will need to check with your airline and report any lost luggage.
• Neither SRS Distribution nor The GRA Group are responsible for lost luggage.
• If your homeowner’s insurance does not cover lost luggage, you may wish to purchase a travel insurance policy.

Customs:
• As noted above, you will have been provided with a US Customs Declaration Form to complete prior to your arrival in the United States.
• Each person returning to the United States is allowed to bring up to $800 worth of merchandise back to the United States without paying duty. (Numerous exceptions apply.) Keep in mind only one liter of alcohol, 200 cigarettes, and 100 cigars are included in this exemption. If you attempt to enter the United States without properly declaring merchandise you can be fined.
• The most popular souvenir from Costa Rica is ground coffee. Travelers have complained that their carry-on coffee has been confiscated. The U.S. TSA has rules on powdered substances in carry-on luggage on international flights, and quantities over 12 oz may be subject to secondary inspection. We recommend putting ground coffee in your checked bag or buying whole beans.
• Sales receipts, invoices and other evidence of purchases may be helpful in completing your custom declaration forms.

NOTE: U.S. citizens must present a valid passport book for this trip. Allow up to eight weeks to obtain a new or renewed passport. Your passport MUST have at least six (6) months validity from the date you will be returning to the United States. Please refer to The U.S. Department of State website for additional information on obtaining a passport www.travel.state.gov.
